Need for X by Onlyplay

A car runs down a neon two-lane road and you steer into or around the boxes that appear ahead. Each box collected adds to the multiplier; one of them is a bomb, and there is no finish line.

How to Play Need for X

The goal is to collect as many boxes as you dare and cash out before you hit an explosive one. There is no crash point set in advance here - the round ends when you take a bad box, so the decision is how many more to collect. The steps below cover a full round.

  1. Configure your settings

Bets run from 1.00 to 50. Two optional settings can go in before the round: an auto cash out target that collects once the multiplier reaches it, and autoplay, which starts a new round automatically after each one ends.

  2. Start the drive

Press play and the car sets off down one of the two lanes, with boxes appearing ahead in either lane.

  3. Steer into or away from the boxes

Steering left and right is the whole input. A box collected adds a random multiplier boost to the running total; a box avoided adds nothing and costs nothing.

  4. Watch for the explosives

Some boxes hold explosives. Collect one and the car blows up, the round ends and everything uncollected is lost. Nothing distinguishes a safe box from a bomb before you take it.

  5. Cash out when ready

Cashing out ends the round on the spot and pays the stake multiplied by the total accumulated so far. Because the road has no end, the only thing stopping a run is a bomb or your own decision to stop.

Need for X FAQ

What is Need for X?

Need for X is a crash game from Onlyplay on a racing theme, built on the studio's Infinity Play mechanic. A car drives down a two-lane road and boxes ahead of it hold either a multiplier boost or an explosive. Collect boosts to build the multiplier and cash out before you take a bomb; take one and the bet is lost.

Can I play Need for X for free?

Yes. The demo runs on play money with no registration or download, at the same 95% RTP as the real-money version.

What is Infinity Play?

It is Onlyplay's name for a crash variant with no endpoint. A standard crash round has a crash multiplier fixed before it starts, and the round ends there whatever you do. In Infinity Play the road never ends, so the round continues until you either collect a bad box or cash out - which is why the maximum win is uncapped rather than a fixed ceiling.

How is Need for X different from Quantum X?

The mechanic is the same and the maths is the same: both are Onlyplay Infinity Play titles at 95% RTP with no published ceiling, stakes from 1.00 to 50, session statistics and a profile in the lobby. Need for X puts you in a car steering between lanes for boxes; Quantum X has an avatar jumping between lanes for photons.
