How to Play Cheese Chase
The goal is to raid as many traps as possible, then cash out before one springs. Every trap cleared raises the multiplier; springing one forfeits the bet. The steps below cover a full round.
-
Set your bet amount
Press the Bet button on the main controls to open the list of available stakes, which run from 1.00 to 90. Select one to lock it in.
-
Choose your difficulty mode
Four modes are available, and the choice is locked for the duration of a round. Harder modes shorten the run and steepen the multiplier, at a much lower chance of taking the cheese cleanly.
- Easy - 24 traps, max win ×20.41.
- Normal - 22 traps, max win ×1,878.24.
- Hard - 20 traps, max win ×43,387.50.
- Hardcore - 15 traps, max win ×2,669,364.53.
Mancala Gaming publishes the game's ceiling as ×100,000, which is the figure in the facts strip above. The Hardcore paytable in the game itself shows the higher number.
-
Press Play and raid the first trap
Press the orange Play button to commit the bet. The mouse steps onto the first trap and one of two things happens:
- The cheese is taken cleanly - you unlock the multiplier marked on that trap.
- The trap springs - the mouse is killed, the round ends and the bet is forfeited.
-
Cash out or take another trap
After every clean raid, you choose between two options:
- Take another trap - risk the amount built up so far for a larger multiplier.
- Cash out - the round ends immediately and the total win is credited to your balance.
Step 4 repeats until a trap springs, you cash out, or you reach the glowing cheese at the end of the row. Reaching the end pays the max win for the chosen difficulty.
Game Features
- Four difficulty modes
- Easy through Hardcore each set their own trap count and multiplier curve, shortening the row from 24 traps to 15 and moving the top prize from ×20.41 to over ×2.6 million. The mode is locked once a round starts.
- Turbo mode
- Speeds the animation up sharply, useful for grinding through rounds quickly on the harder modes.
- 8-bit art style
- Blocky pixel graphics and low frame-rate animation, a deliberate retro look rather than the 3D characters most road-crossers use.
- Graphics quality toggle
- A low-detail mode cuts the load for slower devices and limited bandwidth.
Cheese Chase is another addition to the collection of interactive crash games from Mancala Gaming. Players help a small mouse move through the kitchen to find food and avoid hidden traps. Every jump increases the multiplier on the way to the safe zone and the 100000x maximum win.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Four difficulty modes
- Turbo mode for fast rounds
- Runs on low-end devices via the graphics toggle
Cons
- No autoplay
- No bet history panel
- Published max win and in-game paytable disagree

Cheese Chase FAQ
What is Cheese Chase?
Cheese Chase is a crash game from Mancala Gaming in which a mouse raids a row of baited mouse traps. Each trap cleared without springing it raises the win multiplier, and one spring ends the round and takes the bet. You choose when to collect, and the difficulty mode sets how long the row is and how steeply the multiplier climbs.
Can I play Cheese Chase for free?
Yes. The demo runs on play money with no registration and nothing to install, at the same 95% RTP as the real-money version.
What is the maximum win in Cheese Chase?
Mancala Gaming states ×100,000 in the game rules and on its own product page, and that is the figure used in the facts strip. The Hardcore paytable inside the game shows a final position worth ×2,669,364.53. The two sources disagree, and the discrepancy is Mancala Gaming's rather than an error on this page.
Are Mancala Gaming games safe?
Mancala Gaming has supplied casino content since 2019 and holds the licences and RNG certification operators require before listing its games. As always, the protections that matter to you as a player — payouts and dispute handling — sit with the casino's licence rather than the studio's.
